Date: 8th Mar 2017 @ 5:50pm

The weather has been fab this week and so down in reception the Meerkats have been exploring outdoors. They really enjoy the water area so we are trying to make it even more fun. The mosaic bench is coming along, it's very time consuming but it will be worth it. Also we've been whittling more wood for our messy maths area to make simple 2d shapes....

Brilliant Bongos, by Mrs Fletcher

Date: 5th Mar 2017 @ 9:49am

The Bongos have had a tough week ! They were asked to trial some Year 2 tests and they have worked so hard, with smiles on their faces and great determination to complete them all. I am very proud of them. They have also learnt about the continent of Asia and in particular the country of China. In English we have been continuing to learn about clauses to add detail to our writing and most of the children have had a go at including clauses within sentences in their own dragon themed stories. The projects that came into school earlier in the week look great and I am looking forward to seeing the ones that came in at the end of the week when I was out of class tomorrow.

They will be sharing more of their day in an assembly .

We have been exploring friction today.

We were challenged to lift a bottle using only rice, a pencil and friction.  We had to figure it out and then explain why it happened.

We also had to use chopsticks to move Jelly from one bowl to another. However, there was a problem! Oil in one bowl made this a challenge.  Can you think why?
