Macmillan coffee morning and book read, by Mrs Catterall
Date: 1st Oct 2019 @ 5:39pm
What an amazing morning. We were completely blown away by the number of visitors this morning. Thank you to everyone who came along to support this event, there was plenty of cake for everyone. The children enjoyed reading with their parents/grandparents, reading with the younger children or sat on a bean bag, taking off their shoes and sharing a book with their friends. Thankyou also to the parents who helped our amazing charity ambassadors and heads team.
We had lots of amazing cakes for our moon/space themed competition. There are some very talented bakers out there. The charity ambassadors had some difficult decisions to make when choosing the winner from each class. The winners were informed in assembly today and prizes given out. All children who took part will receive a special certificate later this week.
We will let you know the total amount once it has been totalled up.

Today we have been very busy practicing our painting skills.
First we painted shapes very carefully and then we learnt about primary colours and the colour wheel. We had to mix our own colours from red, yellow and blue.
Next we had a go at making shades by adding white or black, we then used our new found skills to paint a background all ready to add some more detail later in the week in the style of Paul and John Nash. ( WW1artists)
We amazed our teachers with our fantastic painting skillsπ
Looking forward to the beach tomorrow- don’t forget your bucket and spade!!!

Hand washing!, by Mrs Pratten
Date: 14th May 2019 @ 6:48pm
Today we had a visit from Tanya who showed us how to wash our hands properly and why it is so important.
We learnt that you should keep washing your hands while you sing Happy Birthday through twice and then you have washed them for long enough.
We tested this out on Eve and Bobby, it was Eves birthday today so we sang to her.
They put their hands in a special machine that showed all the germs, then went to wash their hands.Eve washed hers better than Bobby with nearly no germs left, great hand washing Eveπ
