At Longton we pride ourselves on creating opportunities to work and link with our community.

Mr Facer, our local Pharmasist came into speak to year 6 about microbes, medication and health.

Police Dog handlers came into explain their role.

The fire service came into talk to year 2 and 6 about the importance of having an evacuation plan and the impact of hoax calls.

Year 6 have worked at Penwortham Girls for literacy and languages.

Guild celebrations 

Pagpa, a Buddhist monk came into speak to every class about the origins and customs of Buddhism

South Ribble Borough Council came to talk to Year 5 and 6 about Neighbourhood services

Year 1 have been learning about fire safety and enjoyed a visit from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service!

The whole school has taken the charity FOMO friends of Mulanje orphans to their hearts - Inspired by local ladies Mary and Gillian who set up this amazing charity! The pupils and families on Longton Primary School have collected a huge amount of stationary for the children in their new school due to open in Septmber in Mulanje.
