Arts Week, Day Three!, by Mr Kennedy

Date: 27th May 2021 @ 7:36am

Day Three of The Penguins Art Week was absolutely fantastic!

In the morning we explored adding details to our painting images through dotting & then had a fantastic computing lesson where the children edited photographs through Canva.

We added silhouettes to acetate overlays, then squirted paint on a card and merged the two designs to create interesting artwork!

We also began working on our class collaborative artwork, inspired by Chuck Close!

Arts Week 2021, Day Two!, by Mr Kennedy

Date: 25th May 2021 @ 2:55pm

Another fab day in The Penguin Tribe today!

We had great fun exploring our inspirational stories across the past two years, inspired by the work of Marc Quinn.

We explore colour connotation and colour tones to represent the story of the articles.

We also spend the day exploring heroes over the past two years, like Captain Sir Tom Moore. The children then designed their own Superhero & their costume, badge and 'powers'.

We had some great ideas from Lava Girl that stops volcanic eruptions to SuperDoctor who travelled the world saving lives! The creativity was incredible tonight!

Arts Week 2021, Day One!, by Mr Kennedy

Date: 25th May 2021 @ 8:03am

The Penguins had a blast on their first day of Arts Week 2021! They had lots of fun in their morning tasks, which they are doing their Daily Doodle Challenge. The morning continued into planning and preparing our COVID masks & their Arts Week T-Shirts.

In the afternoon, a lot of the children were continuously inspired and let their artistic inspiration flow, adapting ideas for their t-shirts and supporting one another in doing some dying of other t-shirts.

We finished off our afternoon by designing a new postage stamp for the  Heroes Royal Mail Postage Stamp Competition.

We can't wait for another day of artistic expression!

Chapter 3

The Adventure

Let me tell you about the adventure we had together...

We were going to the park for a couple of hours to burn some steam off, after that, we found a secret forest, camouflaged in the trees (which is a forest). We decided that we would go in...about 5 minute later, I slip on a load of mud and got covered with squishy, squelchy, gloopy gloop! Sophia turn away and laugh her head off,Eventually she help me up and used the workout towel and water to clean me( a little stayed on though) . On the way though the forest we saw a lot of bugs flys, bee, wasps, lady birds and centre peeps and more. Although it was fun I was getting cold cause I was in a shirt and shorts. My legs were shaking with horror as I heard a creepy noise from the distance, our heads turn as a freezing cold breeze came across me.....!!!! We slowly walk to fine our way out off this nightmare! It got darker and we found ourself wondering around in the forest.Soon, we resized that is was getting darker by the second.

I spoke to Sophia and whispered “you go left and I go right call me if you find anything! ok? “

“Ok!” She replied back to me.

We went our different ways untill I heard

Mmmmmaaaaaagggggyyyyyy!”that was Sophia yelling for me. I sprint to the left of the forest I saw her going upto what look like an abandoned house
