Arts Week

Monday

The day will begin with an assembly by Ash Dickinson. We will be doing a poetry workshop with Ash between 10.30 and 11.00

We will be making our sketch books- please remeber your cardboard and any bits and pieces you would like to use to decorate the cover.

We will begin work on our Monet Project which will reult in a display in the corridor

The day will end with a dance worshop with Amanda Rogers from Hutton Grammar Scool

We will be working with an artist called Jac Balmer who will be helpig us to create Rousseau animal masks

We will complete our Monet project.

This is  changeover day. We will be in a mixed class of Year Ones, Twos and Threes. We will do French based arts activities with Mrs Catterall, Mrs Fletcher and Miss Adamson.

We are learning about the British artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh . We will be looking at some of his work in particular his drawings of churches. We will be using our sketch books to sketch St Andrew's church from the field and from within the church yard.

We will be visited by two French teachers for a special assembly about French language and culture.

Friday 

We will be completing our Charles Rennie Mackintosh  work using pens and inks to do detailed drawings of St Andrews church.

In the afternoon we will We will work with Mrs Bradley- she will be teaching us how to do artwork with glass.

We will be using the sticks and twigs that we have brought into school to  make some fairy houses.
