Mindfulness

Date: 13th Oct 2017 @ 11:33am

Today we completed an experiment, the children had a choice of a minstrel chocolate or a blueberry. Two of the minstrels were place in front of the children, the first minstrel the children just consumed straight away.

The second minstrel, the children had to look at it first, turn it over, then smell it, touch their lower lip with it, then place it on their tongue and roll it around their mouth, finally they had to bite it in half and slowly saviour the taste.

The children will be doing this with their food over the next and have encouraged to train their parents.

The hippocampus part of our brain were used to take in all of the senses of eating the minstrel.

The hippocampus was then explained to the children as it links our memories together, when we sleep our brain files them away. An amazing lesson from Tanya once again.
