The Week Ahead - Monday 27th March 2017

Date: 26th Mar 2017 @ 12:52pm

I hope that you have enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend! We have been very fortunate.

In the final week of term before the Easter break we will be spending some time learning about Easter and Spring.

Maths

In Maths we will finish our work on telling the time by drawing hands on a clock face. We will move on to measuring time in seconds, minutes and hours. On Friday, we will do a speedy review of measuring mass and weight.

English

In English we will be studying the Easter story. We will learn about the symbols of Easter and why they are special to make a booklet. We will read about the Easter story and do some writing about the Easter story using our neatest handwriting..

Phonics

Mrs Gray's group will be practising recognising phase 5 sounds in words for reading and using phase 5 sounds to write words.

Miss Adamson's group will be learning about adjectives and revising nouns and verbs. They will also continue to do speedy phase 5 reviews.

Handwriting

We will practise forming the digits 7-9 and 0.

Science

We are looking for signs of Spring and creating our own Spring windows.

Art

We are learning about the world's most expensive eggs - Fabergé eggs! We will try to create our own versions.

Music

It is our last chance to practise our song for the Easter service in church! We hope that you will enjoy it.

Assembly

On Friday afternoon we hope to see you in church for our Easter service.

Trip

On Tuesday morning we are going to the Harris Museum and Gallery to learn about old fashioned toys. We will leave school at 0915 and will head back at 1145. We will have lunch in school as normal. If you haven't given permission yet, please give you forms to myself or Anna on Monday.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I look forward to seeing you on Monday.

Warm regards,

Miss Adamson
