This week the children have learnt that there are four types of sentence. Statements, questions, commands and exclamations. They have written examples of each type of sentence. I'm maths we have been adding up numbers and have used base ten to help us. We are becoming quite good at it now. Fun Friday saw the class rise to the challenge of applying what they have learnt to solve maths problems independently.

In our writing lesson we invented houses that had magical powers. We went through the mirror and freeze framed to show a scene from inside our magical house. We drew pictures of our ideas , wrote lists of adjectives and then used pens to write rainbow sentences where the adjectives were in colour. Next came the big job of writing up our descriptions.

At playtime Paige and Saskia created a person out of twigs, leaves and stones.
