Happy New Year and Welcome Back!

We hope you have all had a wonderful christmas and Father Christmas made it to your house! It sounds like he did the children have been full of stories of presents and happy times.

This week we have launched into our fairy tales topic. The children have enjoyed retelling the stories of The Three Billy Goats Gruff and Jack and the Beanstalk. They are loving dressing up in Fairy tale corner.

In Numeracy we have been counting in 2's and exploring odd and even numbers. They enjoyed the Todd and Steven song and game to help them remember. Support them by number spotting and talking about whether a number is odd or even! They know to look at the last digit.

We have started to name and describe materials in science. They have been material hunting around school and describing how materials feel using the feely box.

Is it really the first week back? We seem to have done so much already.
