The Hippos Have Had A Busy Week

What a busy week the Hippo Tribe have had!

Later in the morning we spent some time with a Buddhist monk learning about hgis faith and beliefs. I was very impressed with the way the children listened and with the interseting questions that they asked.

On Thursday Mrs Moxham accompanied the children and Mrs Regan on their weekly trip to Leyland for swimming and was super impressed by their behaviour- Well done Hippos I am very proud of you.

Friday was another super busy day. Lots of the class went off to a choir rehearsal for their performance on Saturday which is very exciting. We made our Cauliflower Christmas cards, learnt about Roman roads and had a visitor.

Fridays visitor was Caroline from Lancashire Wildlife Trust. She taught the children about polination, what seed need to grow and they all got the chance to be suirrels and hide nuts around the school grounds. Caroline was very impressed that the children knew so much about squirrels and even more impressed when we told her the reason that we kbnew so much was because we had been on a trip to Formby. Erin F especially impressed our visitor with her knowledge.

Homework was given out on Friday this week as I wasn't in class on Thursday.

Cauliflower cards can be viewed after school on Monday- letter sent home on Friday.

Look out for a letter next week with details of our trip to Ribchester.
