This term we will be looking at Narrative.  We will have a go at writing a short story, reading a novel as a theme (Gold of the Gods by Bear Grylls) and producing some non fiction information texts based on Ancient Greece.  

 These are our spellings for this year. However, we will recap spellings patterns learnt earlier in school.  Sometimes you need to blow away your cobwebs.  

Wanting to brush up on your grammar? This website has some pretty good games to get your head round some of the grammar in a fun way!  We will focus this year on applying our grammar knowledge to our own writing.  We will learn about using Colons, Semi-Colons, Ellipses and hyphens and dash.  We will revist parenthesis use and adverbials from year 5.
