This Week In Year 4 we have (as always) had a great week.In maths we had great fun learning about fractions and our favourite part was eating chocolate (obviously!!!).In science we have enjoyed finding recipes of toothpastes and using them, we also used toothbrushes to test which toothpaste was the best.In art we had an amazing lesson on sketching. In English we have made stories based on Wallace and Gromit  a matter of loaf and death.

This Week In Year 4 we have enjoyed learning about Roman numerals and negative numbers in maths ,we also enjoyed our eggselent eggsperiment on eggs , we watched a matter of loaf and death it was EPIC!!!!!!!

This Week In year 4 it is the 10th anerversary of the Blog! We learnt how to play different types of drums. As well as drums we also learnt how to play Go-Gos,Shakers, Tamberins and Snare. We also learnt about how teeth work and we loved doing our fun experiments with Lego Blocks,plastic forks,scissors,tweeters and a small cup of water. It was very messy but fun!Today we also did sketching and used different types of sketches to make familiar shapes.

The First day in year 4 after the holidays has been a sucsess! We had loads of fun writing our New Years Resaloutions                Down.  Also in art we drew our hands and wrote our hopes around them. They are interesting and exiting!

The Tigers enjoyed their Christmas lunch it was delicious! They also looked amazing when we dressed up for our theatre visit, the theatre production was brilliant too.The Tigers enjoyed the part where he was tourned into a donkey and also at the beginning when he was being created

This Week In Year 4, we have another Birthday Girl! This timeit was Eryn. Unfortunately she didn't bring any cakes. Also we have Been measuring the lengths of diferent objects. We found out that the hall was 1m 16cm! My thumb was 2cm witch is CRAZY!

This Week In Year 4 we had fun having our treat for our 20th class compliment. We had fun with the range of activities Mrs Pratten set out for us some stations for us to use. This week in year four we have learnt about the plague. We learnt how the plauge killed over 500 million people across                 Europe. the plague doctor was a special doctor that wasn't qualified to be a real doctor but he just got paid for doing nothing.We also learnt about T.S Elliot who Wrote Macavity. We Have Had Him in a lot of English and are learning the poem off by heart.

This week in year four we have made lanterns called Fanoos. We learnt that a king used Fanoos to light the way in Egypt and are part of Ramadan celebrations.. Projects were AMAZING!!! We had loads of fun making projects and can't wait for next weeks fun!!!!

This Week In Year Four We Have Been Using The Friendship Box.Sophia Won , she had the most  nominations, And Got Herself A Lotery Ticket. we Also Made These Things Called Chaterboxes.They Have Nice Words Inside That Make Us Feel Nice And Fuzzy. We wrote our own poppy poems and enjoyed dressing up

We used our knowledge on electricity to create an amazing Halloween decoration to go up on the apparatus. We did them over five days. We used our gymnastic skills to balance and travel over or under the equipment.It has been a fun week!

Thank you to all parents, children and staff who came along today, it was very much appreciated.We have cleared leaves, stained sheds and benches, cleared brambles, made a mud kitchen, filled two trailers with rubbish and generally had a really fun time. I think!

This Week In Year 4 We Did Our Awsome Assembly. It Was Really Fun Learning The German Songs And Words. In Maths We Learnt About  and the different names of triangles and Angles. This Week Our Class Have Been On A Trip To The MOSI (Musieum Of Sience And Industry). We Have Been Drawing And Writing Explanation Texts From Wallice And Gromite e.g The Socconater,The Snoozinater And The Tellyscope. The Tigers enjoyed a tremendous trip to MOSI, first we watched the introductory show, then our knowledge on electricity was tested. A good lunch was next and then exciting times in Eperiment before finishing off with explosive explosions.

The Tigers had fun practising their tennis and volley ball skills this morning, some excellent skill shown. This afternoon they were busy investigating insulators and conductors and testing them in circuit. Ask them if they can remember what they are!

This Week Has Been Great And The Class Has Realy Had Fun. We Had German Lessons And Have Discoverd A Lot Of Intresting Facts. I Loved Doing The German Coulers And The Rainbow Song But It Was Super Hard.We Have Also Been Doing Warm Fuzzys From A Story That We Read On The First Week Of Year 4.This Has Been A Great Week And We Can't Wait For Next Week!

This afternoon the children celebrated European Day of Languages by taking part in lots of Language themed activities.

The Penguins ( Year 1) learnt the colours of the rainbow in German

The Bongos ( Year 2 ) learnt greetings, classroom instructions, numbers to 10 and how to tell somebody their name and age in French.

The Giraffes ( Year 3) looked at the work of Paul Klee, a Swiss-German artist and learnt the names of colours. 

They tried to make dark colours like his paintings. E.g.  Dunkelrot.  = dark red

The Tigers ( Year 4) learnt lots of intersesting facts about germant such as there are 400 zoos in Germany and tasted German food.

The Bears (Year 5) learnt greetings, times of day and how to say introduce themselves in Spanish.

The Kangaroos (Year 6) made bookmarks. On one side they decorated them with symbols of Germany, such as the flag, car badges and on the other they wrote about themselves in German.

At the end of the afternoon the children had the opportunity to share what they had been doing in assembly.

The Tigers enjoyed finding out facts about Germany. did you know that they have blue strawberries in Germany and over 400 zoos!We also had fun preparing and tasting some German food and finding out how school life is different in Germany, ask me to tell you 2 things!

The Tigers have enjoyed exploring circuits this week, working out which circuits would work and why. Flute lesson are going well, good effort and determination being shown!

In maths we had a fun lesson adding up amounts and writing it down in £ 's and pence .
