Shadows

The sun was shining this afternoon and we took the opportunity to look at our shadows and compare them to the predictions we made on Friday last week.  The children discovered the position of their afternoon shadow was correct, however soon realised their shadow was an outline and didn't have hair, eyes and socks like their predicted shadows did! With the knowledge of how to make shadows larger and smaller using puppets on Friday they have shown a good understanding of shadows and had fun outdoors researching it.  Let's hope we have some sun in the morning to test out our am shadow position predictions.
