The Week Ahead - Tuesday 18th April 2017

Date: 17th Apr 2017 @ 9:36pm

I hope you have all enjoyed a relaxing Easter break and are looking forward to the Summer Term.  Hopefully the weather will become warmer.

Each week I will be posting an overview of the sorts of things we will be learning about over the week.

Maths         We will be developing our understanding and speed in recalling times table and related division facts.

2x  3x  4x  5x  8x  10x.  We will look at multiplying larger numbers by 50 or 100.  This will include                          using the grid method and solving problems using data from tables and graphs.

English      Our unit for the next few weeks will be 'Play scripts'.  There will be lots of opportunities to work in a                        group to read and perform some scenes as well as looking at the layout and features of a playscript                      text.

GPS         This week our focus is on spelling words with the suffix ed, ing, s, es, identifying adverbs in sentences                   and continuing to look for examples of main and subordinate clauses.

P.E.          Our unit for this half term is Games, we will be developing skills in sending a receiving a ball and                           moving into a space to recieve a pass.

History    This half term we are learning about The Romans.  We will begin by learning about how the Romans                        came to Britain and about the story of Boudicca's rebellion against the Romans.

Art          We will be looking at examples of Roman Mosaics.

R.E.       This week we will be exploring 'leaders'.   Who are leaders in our local community, the country, the world?               What/Who do they lead?  How do they lead?

I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow and finding out about your Easter adventures.
