World Book Day - Rockstars

We fully embaced the theme of rockstars.  Thank you for all your effort in supporting this. We followed and read the song lyrics to a number of songs as well as learning a few classic rock tunes.  Thank you to our group and solo performers who performed to us, you were brilliant. 

We enjoyed listening to the school story of the Battle between the odds and evens.  We loved adding our own section to the story and then hearing the end of it during our assembly at the end of the day.

The children all took home a book - a gift from Longton Primary school as well as the World Book Day voucher to use to redeem a world book day book or money off a book of their choice. 

We continued to write our fairy tales with a twist from our Michael Rosen workshop at the beginning of the week.  We will share some when they are finished.
