Anti-Bullying week 2012

Last Week was national Anti-Bullying Week, all classes have explored what bullying is. The children have learned about the different types of bullying and explored the roles and feelings of the victim, bully and bystanders, through roleplay and circle time.

Children have taken part in a class poster competition the winners were picked by the school council - there were lots of outstanding posters showing a great understanding of bullying and the skills to stop it.

The school councillors judged the entries and the winners were Nisha Year 6, Thomas Holmes Year 4, Grace Ainsworth year 3, Lois Reid Year 2, Sofia Robinson Year 1, and Violet In Reception -Well Done to you all, amazing work.

The school council have been working with Mrs Robinson on a children's anti-bullying charter-they will share there ideas with all classes and staff. The school council announced in assembly that a friendship bench is available on the playground and all children can go and ask children if they are okay and want to play.

The Heads Team have been roving reporters and visiting classes during the week and have produced a newsletter about anti-bullying. Well done Alice and Amelia!

Blue wrist bands are still on sale for 50p to show your support for Anti Bullying Week.
