Dancing Kangaroos

Another night, another performance. On Thursday evening the class took part in a dance show at Leyland Civic centre. They were invited to dance by our fantastic dance teacher Sharn. 23 children arrived very excitedly at the civic centre at 5pm. They did a rehearsl of the Bollywood routine which was perfect. Tea was then eaten and before we knew it off they went to perform again in front of a live audience. Once again the performance was amazing and a big cheer was earned from an audience that contained parents from other schools and none of our parents who had tickets for the second show. After performing the dance from the heart Samba the children returned to the holding area whilst the audience change happened. Very soon we were on again and youv'e guessed it another perfect performance. This was greeted by an enormous cheer as this time our parents were there. From where I was standing I could see lots of proud mums, dads and grandparents!

The children loved this experience and gave Sharn a lovely cheerleading style thank you. They have got so much out of these dance lessons and have thoroughly enjoyed the experiences of performing at the Guildhall and The Civic Centre.

This afternoon Sharn was in school working with Year 2 and Year 5 at the end of her lessons we presented her with some lovely roses and a pack of letters to let her know how much we have appreciated all that she has done for us.
