Knowsley Safari Park

Setting off from school at 9:15; the Tigers and the Bongos headed towards Knowsley Safari Park on a double decker bus.

When we first arrived at the safari park went into the classroom to meet some interesting creatures.

Do you know how a snake smells? Why a snail can put it's head inside it's shell? Do you know an adult could sit on an ostrich egg and it would not break? Well the Bongo tribe do; why not ask them?

We went for a walk to visit the elephants and giraffes, we saw the meerkats being fed, had our lunch in the sunshine, watched a sea lion show and then had a tour round the park on the double decker bus. We got stuck in the baboon enclosure because some naughty monkeys climbed on the roof of our double decker bus and the rangers could not get then down.

What a fun trip. We'd like to thank all the staff at the safari park for such a wonderful day and the parent helpers because without them the trip would not have been possible.
