Maths Challenge

On Thursday 18th of October 2012 four year six pupils represented Longton Primay School in a maths challenge at Penwortham Girls High. The pupils who competed in the challenge were Amelia Hough, James Mawson, Louis Jones and Alex Pritchard. There was three rounds consisting of a mental round, a musical round and a relay race where a runner from each school ran to their teacher collected a sheet of paper with a question on it and worked it out. Overall Longton Primary School came 4th out of nine schools which is excellent! Even Mrs Mawson won the parents competition - amazing pupils and parents!
