Forthcoming events
Tuesday 19th March- Easter servicein St Andrews Church at 9.15 am, all are welcome.
Wednesday 20th March– The year 5 class are off to Hothersall Lodge on their residential trip until Friday.
Tuesday 26th March – Easter Bonnet & Egg competition,watch out for the separate letter giving full details.
Wednesday 27th March – Easter Shop.There will be an opportunity for children to purchase small Easter gifts & sweets from 10p to £1.50. We also welcome your cake donations to be sold on the day.
Wednesday 27th March – Easter Bingo,from 5.45pm, eyes down at 6.15pm prompt. As usual this popular event relies greatly on your Easter egg donations, these can be sent into school from now.
Thursday 28th March – School closesat 3.15pm for the end of term
Guitar Lessons-Message from the guitar teacher
“All the guitar players have received a letter with a reply slip regarding lessons for next term please make sure it is returned to the next lesson all slips need to be in before the end of term so groups can be arranged. Those who enrol for the next term please make sure you honour your commitment as a place has been saved for your child and fees will be due at the first lesson.”
Author Visit
Children's author and illustrator Calvin Innes will now be visiting the school on Friday 26th April.
Calvin will be reading from his latest book and teaching the children drawing techniques in a fun and entertaining class designed to encourage pupils to engage with drawing and creative thinking.
Calvin's books will be available on the day and he would be happy to personally sign and dedicate the books to anyone who buys a copy. If your child would like to buy one or more books they will need to bring their money along to school, preferably before the 26th April please. This should be in a named envelope stating which books they require.The following books will be available on the day:

Ofsted
As you are hopefully all aware our results have been strong year on year. Believe it or not, Ofsted last visited us three years ago. They have now undertaken an interim, external assessment and have made a decision not to visit us this year. We celebrate the fact that our strengths can be seen and will strive for even greater successes in the coming years. Your thoughts and ideas are always welcome in ensuring our children get the best.
