What a busy week!

Well what a busy week it has been for the Kangaroo Tribe. On Monday we looked at biographies of Roald Dahl. Tuesday was Winter Olympics day. We learnt how to draw action pictures of winter sports, tried on ski boots and took part in a curling competition. We had 2 teams of 6  and the rest of the class were the spectators. Our teams had to play against teams from year 4 . Both teams played brilliantly and team 2 ( Alexander, Jake, WIll,Carla,Tom and Connor ) made it to the final against year 4 team 1. It was a very close match and ended in a one one draw. It went to sudden death and unfortunately we lost. There were some fantastic performances from the Kangaroos especially from Connor who was good at hitting our stones to move them on and Alexander who is a future GB curling star!

On Wednesday we wrote comic style stories about Mr and Mrs Twit at the Winter Olympics.

Thursday was another busy day , we started to write books for the year 1 class based on the book A Tiger Who Came To Tea. Our books are called A Viking Who Came To Tea.

After dinner it was our swimming gala and we had fun doing the races.

Friday has arrived and we are busy finishing our books and then we are going to invent a new winter Olympic sport.
