A special day at school

Today was a very important day, Rememberance Day. All the children and teachers came into school dressed as a soldier, a nurse, a refugee or in red and black as a poppy.

Mr Michael Turner from the Lostock Hall British Legion came into school to share his stories of when he was growing up during the World War Two,  it was very interesting.

Lunch today was sausage and mash a typical wartime meal.

During the day we made lots of poppy art and took part in some role play.
