The History of Our School
A rich history. A bright future. Care. Grow. Shine.
Established in 1926, Longton Primary School has been part of our village for over a century. Across the generations, our school has grown and changed, but its place at the heart of the Longton community remains an important part of our story.
From the early days of Longton Council School to the school we know today, our history is full of milestones, memories and moments that have shaped who we are. The records tell the story of changing buildings, generations of headteachers, the growth of our school community and the many experiences that have made Longton special.
As we celebrate 100 years of Longton Primary School, we are proud of our heritage and excited about our future. Our values of Care, Grow, Shine continue to guide us as we nurture every child, celebrate their achievements and help them flourish.
