Communication/Payments
Keeping in Touch with School
At Longton Primary and Nursery School, we use Bromcom and their MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) app to communicate important information with parents and carers.
Bromcom allows us to send you messages, letters, updates and other important information directly to you. It is therefore important that parents and carers regularly check their MCAS account.
How will I receive information from school?
We use Bromcom and MCAS to send a range of information, including:
Letters and important school updates
Information about school events and activities
Trip and visit information
Messages from school
Information about clubs and activities
Forms and requests for information
Consent requests
Payment requests
Other information relating to your child and school life
When we send information, you may receive a notification via MCAS or an email to let you know that something is waiting for you to read or action. Emails are sent from 16391@bromcomcloud.com and Longton Primary School will show as the sender.
How do I access MCAS?
On the MyChildAtSchool app on your phone or tablet
or
Via the MyChildAtSchool website on a computer or laptop.
You will need to log in using your parent/carer account. To log in initially you will need to have received an activation email from the school.
Once you have logged in
Make sure you have selected the correct child if you have more than one child at Longton Primary School.
You can then view information that the school has sent to you, including messages, letters, forms, consent requests and payments.
Please check MCAS regularly
Some information sent through MCAS may require you to read it, complete a form, give consent or make a payment.
For this reason, we ask parents and carers to check their MCAS account regularly and respond to anything that requires your attention.
Having trouble logging in?
If you are having difficulty accessing your MCAS account, please contact the school office and we will be happy to help.
MCAS is an important way that we keep families informed, so please make sure your contact details are kept up to date with school.
