A huge thank you!

Mrs. Morrison and I would like to say a huge thank you for your support over these first early weeks. The children are making good friendships, trying lots of new challenges and really embracing all of the new routines in school.

We have been so impressed that we have started allocating responsibilites in a morning - caring for our plants helper, shaker maker, teaching assistant, line leader and lights monitor. (We will continue to add more roles as the weeks go by)

Thank you for your patience at the start and the end of the day - today we were a little late at the end of the day as the hippos decided that they would like to attend the whole school assembly. They enjoyed listening to Mrs. Pratten talking about the school eco team. We now have a special box in class to recylce old batteries so please feel free to send them in.

This week we have had some visitors in our classroom. Mrs. Brown popped in and was so impressed with the childrens learning and behaviour that she awarded us a class compliment. Please ask your hippo what class compliments are, I am sure they will enjoy telling you.

The hippos had a lovely afternoon with their buddies this week. Everyone had fun and had a smiley face! We are looking forward to planning lots of special times to spend together with year five.

One final thank you for your amazing help and support with reading and the sound cards. The children were excited to choose new books yesterday and they have been doing some amazing reading today in our game 'popcorn pop!'

I hope this message reaches everyone as your help and support in settling the children has been wonderful!
