No need for wellies at Bring Yer Wellies!

The sun was shining brightly and so were our fabulous and curious kangaroos on their adventure day at Bring Yer Wellies!

We started with a sandcastle making competition followed by a talk about looking after plants and trees. The children all planted a chive plant and were told how to look after it. We need to leave the plants on the kitchen window sill until our very cold nights pass, just enough watering - not too much! 
We had a picnic outside after we had looked at the wormery. The children found the wormery and compost boxes fascinating!
We then went for a walk down a hill to play some relay games. Finally we walked up the hill for a den building session in the woods. A perfect afternoon! Fun, teamwork and fresh air!

  Daily reading - to help the children with their summer reading challenge.
• See the information stuck in the reading record book - we have highlighted which letters your child finds tricky to form. Please use the large letter formation card that was sent home to help your child practice the letters from the correct starting point. Correcting these letters will help with your child's writing journey in year one.
