The Year 5 children did a fantastic job teaching the class how to make their characters speak, add more characters and to make characters disappear.
Next week the Year 5 children are going to set the class some challenges to complete.
Scratch Jnr is free to download on iPads from the App Store .
Estimating measurements, by Mrs Pratten
Date: 4th Jul 2016 @ 3:58pm
The Bears enjoyed using their estimating skills when comparing measurements. They had to use a ruler, choose something to measure and then estimate whether it would be bigger or smaller than their ruler. Then guess again how many rulers it would be eg half, three and then measure accurately. The Bears were brilliant and showed excellent measuring skills.

It took us a very long time and we were very proud. On Wednesday morning we came into class and found lots of areas that had been messed up. We all became police officers and investigated the mess. In our science lessons this week the children have been showing off their scientific knowledge.
We moved forward in time to the Year 3000 and become scientists with the skills and knowledge to create new species of animals. A team of scientists had already created brand new planets for the animals to live on so the hardest part of the task was making sure that our new animals had the correct body features to survive. The results were great, brand new animals with brilliant mixes of body parts. A real showcase of our scientific knowledge !
