This Week In Year 4, we have another Birthday Girl! This timeit was Eryn. Unfortunately she didn't bring any cakes. Also we have Been measuring the lengths of diferent objects. We found out that the hall was 1m 16cm! My thumb was 2cm witch is CRAZY!

Today we have been very creative. We spent the morning creating shape poems and then this afternoon inventing, designing and creating our animal skeletons for a 'new Nintendo game called skeletolympics' . The children will be presenting their ideas to the 'fictious' design board from Nintendo later this week. 

Keep a look out for photos and explanations of their designs appearing over the week.

This Week In Year 4 we had fun having our treat for our 20th class compliment. We had fun with the range of activities Mrs Pratten set out for us some stations for us to use. Today we have read the story of the first Christmas and we found out about baby Jesus being born. We then had a go at sequencing the story, writing sentences, we played with the manger and made nativity scene jigsaws.We had fun in the grotto too....

The Bongos have been working incredibly hard this week to polish their singing for the shows next week. It is the final rehearsal on Monday and the dress rehearsal is on Tuesday afternoon. 

We had a visitor this week from Brtherton C of E school who was very impressed with the attitude and behaviour of the class. Well done everyone.

We put our pretty trees on the trees today. The children have done so well! Look how long our paper chain is. Thank you to Mrs Dunderdale and Poppy for teaching us how to make paper chains.

This Week In Year 4 we earnt our 20th class compliment!!! We also watched  the Michael Rosen rap and we made up our own raps that are very silly. In maths we have been doing loads of hard division sums and had to partition them to work them out. By James(the producer) Isaac(the idea generator)

We have been planning our own Great Fire of London stories. The children have had fantastic ideas and worked super hard! The main character is going to be an animal and we will get started writing on Monday!

We have been busy making posters for the winter warmer and have made some amazing decorations for the Christmas trees in the hall.

This week in year four we have learnt about the plague. We learnt how the plauge killed over 500 million people across                 Europe. the plague doctor was a special doctor that wasn't qualified to be a real doctor but he just got paid for doing nothing.We also learnt about T.S Elliot who Wrote Macavity. We Have Had Him in a lot of English and are learning the poem off by heart.

In RE we were thinking about kindness and we had a pair of magic glasses that helped us to say nice things about our friends. The rhyme went,"magic glasses what do you see, tell me something nice about me." When the glasses landed on someone we had to say nice things about them.
