Homework, by Mrs Pratten
Date: 7th Sep 2017 @ 9:24pm
The children have bought home their first English homework task today, apologies but the photocopier is out of action so we were unable to provide a printed explanation, hence the Blog should your child have forgotten!! Following our work on The Jolly Postman, the children should choose a character from a book ( or film ) and create an appropriate birthday card for them, signed from themselves. This should be bought in to school on Tuesday.
Please can we also ask you to take time over the weekend to clear out book bags/ homework bags of any Year 1 information/ homework. Unfortunately In Year 2 we do not have a lot of room for storing book bags so would be grateful if you could limit what is in them ( we have separate storage for homework bags ) The key rings the children have are great for identifying their book bags but again could we ask that the number of key rings is limited, lovely though they are!
We hope you can make the meet the teacher on Tuesday where we will provide you with all the information you need. If you can't make the meeting, please don't worry, we will send the information home and it will also be put on the class page.

Well we have made it! It's hard to believe that we have come to an end of Year 2, the year has truly flown by.
The children have had an amazing year. They have worked hard and both Mrs Woolley and I are very proud of each and every one of them. Appreciation has been this year's word and the Bongos have embraced it. They appreciate each other, themselves, other people and living each moment to the full.
I have enjoyed teaching the class, being with them has deepened my belief that teaching is the best job in the world.
Thank you for your support this year it really is appreciated.
Finally a huge thank you for all of the wonderful gifts, cards and kind words. It is very kind of you and very much appreciated.
Have a lovely summer , hopefully the sun will shine.

Children should bring in at least 1 plastic bag if not more into school on Monday. We would also like board games in school that include a dice if your child is happy and we will try not to loose the pieces or damage them (Monopoly is a good choice).
