School football team, by Mrs Pratten

Date: 17th Nov 2017 @ 12:41pm

The A team participated in a 7 aside football tournament at Priory. We all played really well, fantastic effort, we won 4 , drew 2 so the last game was crucial. It was against Whitefield and was very tight but sadly they scored in the last minute, which meant that they qualified for the next round. We were complimented on our team spirit and skill, well done team , we should fell very proud. Let's hope we get a bit of silverware in the league,

kind regards, Nicholas (team captain)

Date: 11th Nov 2016 @ 10:34pm

This week we have been focusing on friendships in school.  We have read a story about being a 'bucket filler'.  The story focuses on us making good choices and showing little acts of kindness towards others and how by doing this it also makes us feel happy.  The children shared examples of their work in assembly on Thursday.  It was also lovely to see lots of children get certificates in assembly today for being a good friend.

The Giraffes ( Year 3) looked at the work of Paul Klee, a Swiss-German artist and learnt the names of colours.

They tried to make dark colours like his paintings. E.g.  Dunkelrot.  = dark red

The Tigers ( Year 4) learnt lots of intersesting facts about germant such as there are 400 zoos in Germany and tasted German food.

The Bears (Year 5) learnt greetings, times of day and how to say introduce themselves in Spanish.

The Kangaroos (Year 6) made bookmarks. On one side they decorated them with symbols of Germany, such as the flag, car badges and on the other they wrote about themselves in German.
