Character voices., by Mrs Catterall
Date: 7th Sep 2019 @ 10:55pm
On Friday we identified sections of speech in our folktales 'The old woman in a vinegar bottle.'
We then worked with a partner to practise reading the speech using a voice for the character of the old woman or the fairy. We shared our presentations with the class and filmed them using the iPad. We had a good giggle at some of the voices, the children were amazing.

Dragons, by Mrs Catterall
Date: 18th Jul 2019 @ 6:33pm
Wow, what a week we have had so far! The Penguins have been amazing. The theme this week has been Dragons. We have looked at the book, Tell me a dragon. From this we have matched up dragon descriptions, created landscapes for our dragons to live, designed a dragon and started to create a passport for it. We have developed our drawing and colouring techniques by creating design ideas for a dragon's eye. We then made them out of clay - they are fabulous. Next week we aim to paint them, write a dragon story and perform a poem 'The dragon who ate our school'. Keep checking back for more photos as we come, eye our projects. You will be so proud of them, I am.
