Tom and Tristan, by Miss Reynolds
Date: 21st Jan 2019 @ 3:30pm
Last week we did an experiment on cress to see who could grow the tallest cress. One team did torch light only, another team did sugar water and a team did salt water. Some of the other things the teams did was maximise and minimise the amount of water. The one with the torch light is growing the tallest since its trying to reach the sun light. The salt and sugar water one is not growing any cress, some others also didn't grow at all.

Tuesday - Hunting and Gathering, by Mrs Catterall
Date: 16th Jan 2019 @ 7:03am
We spent sometime outside searching the grounds for plants to eat. We had to be careful as some were poisonous. There were also some large animals about. We found some very large ones and practised our spear throwing.
Inside we became historians and scientists. How do we know what the Stone Age people ate? We could explore their poo! We put on plastic gloves and searched for evidence of what they might have eaten. We found remains of plant leaves, fish bones, seeds and berries. There were some great faces as they did this.
We carried on with trying to light a fire with flint and steel. It is very difficult.
In the afternoon we researched and started to make posters of the different prehistoric animals.
