Welcome to Year 6 at Longton Primary School. This is going to be a year of learning, opportunties and fun. The year 6 classroom is a very happy, calm environment where the children feel safe and are given the support they need to be their best selves. The Year 6 teaching team have many years of experience between them and all 3 work hard to ensure a well structured curriculum is delivered through quality first teaching and carefully planned tutor time sessions aimed at consollidating learning and clearing up misconceptions.

In Year 6 the children all have roles and responsibilities which they are all extremely proud of and we know they will carry out these roles brilliantly. The Elephants are a wonderful group of young people who work well as a tribe displaying the school values and who this year we are certain will be inspitrational role models.

Through mutual respect, hard work and ofcourse fun along the way this is going to be a very successful year. Team Elephant also includes parents and families, without your support hearing the children read, helping with homework and projects etc we could not do our job , your support is invaluable. If at any time you have a concern or a question please do not hesitate to get in touch. One of us will always be available to meet with you.
